About Honey Mustard Media

Why we do this work.

Honey Mustard Media was founded on a simple belief: important work should not be overlooked because it is poorly explained.

Based in Langley, we work with nonprofits and mission driven organizations across British Columbia because we have seen how easily meaningful work can be misunderstood, underfunded, or dismissed when the story is unclear.

Documentary and video production are not just services to us. They are tools for helping organizations earn trust. When a story is told thoughtfully and honestly, it strengthens fundraising, aligns stakeholders, and builds long term support.

We do this work because clarity changes outcomes. When people understand what you do and why it matters, they are far more likely to stand behind it.

How we work

We start by listening.

Before cameras come out, we take the time to understand your work, your audience, and what actually needs to be communicated. The process is calm, collaborative, and intentional designed to fit around your organization, not disrupt it.

We don’t rush to production or push unnecessary content. Every decision is guided by purpose, not volume.

Who You’ll Be Working With

Hi, I’m Zach, founder of Honey Mustard Media.

I work with nonprofits and mission driven organizations doing important work, whether that means serving communities, building public trust, or communicating complex ideas clearly and responsibly through documentary and campaign video.

Over the years, I’ve seen how easily meaningful work can be misunderstood when the story is not clear. Not because people do not care, but because they do not fully understand what is at stake.

My role is to listen carefully, ask the right questions, and produce films that people can trust.

When we work together, you are not handed off to a video production team. I am involved from the first conversation through final delivery, making sure every video stays grounded in purpose and reflects your mission accurately.

What we Value

We work with organizations carrying real responsibility to communities, donors, customers, and the public.

In documentary and video production, how a story is told matters just as much as how it looks.

That means we value:

  • Care in how stories are told

  • Trust in how work is represented

  • Responsibility in how video content is used

The goal is never just to make something that looks good.
It’s to make something you can stand behind.

Video is the tool. Responsibility is what matters

The point is clarity. The point is trust. The point is helping people understand the real impact behind your work.

When documentary and campaign videos are created with care, they do more than attract attention. They build credibility, strengthen fundraising, and support long term engagement.
