Your work matters. We want to make sure people hear about it.

We're a Langley, BC video production company making documentary films and monthly content for organizations doing work worth understanding.

Who you’re working with

Zach Parker of Honey Mustard Media outdoors wearing a blue jacket, a wide-brimmed hat, and reflective sunglasses, smiling and making peace signs with both hands during daytime.

I'm Zach. I started Honey Mustard because I kept meeting people doing extraordinary work that nobody outside their building knew about.

I came up through Rotary and I've filmed service projects in Belize, Mexico, and Kenya. A prison literacy program, schools in the jungle, driving down back roads for hours. Work where getting the story wrong would have been worse than not telling it at all.

That is where the rules came from. Listen before you script. The subject comes first. Never make a film that uses the people in it.

Latest Projects

Five years of films for nonprofits, festivals, and community organizations across BC and beyond.

Two Ways We work

Films

One story, told properly. Documentary and impact films for organizations with something worth understanding.

Starts at $5,850 + GST

Monthly

One shoot day becomes a month of content. Eight short form videos, every month, for businesses that need to show up consistently.

Starts at $1,950 + GST

Listen

Before anything gets filmed, we sit down and find the story. Who is it about, who needs to hear it, and what is the one thing they should walk away with. Most of the value in a film is decided here.

How we work

Film

We show up calm and stay out of the way. No lights in anyone's face, no scripting people into sounding like a brochure. The best moments happen when people forget the camera is there.

Put it to Work

A film that sits on a hard drive did not work. You get the main film plus the cutdowns, vertical versions, and stills you need for the campaign, the grant application, and the AGM.

Story first. Then sound. Then picture. In that order, every time.

Tell us what you’re working on

No pitch deck, no pressure. Just a conversation about what you're trying to say and whether we're the right people to help you say it.
